Does it make sense to buy a house for 2 (me and my wife) or rent in los angeles?
Added (1). I am 37 and I would love to have a big garden that I don't have in an apartment. What is the math involving buying a house. If I buy a house that I cannot afford the mortgage for or have a house that is too big, then I am not really using the house to the fullest. I live in a $1000/month apartment now. Would it make sense for me to buy a house now? How do I take this plunge? Sorry for my ignorance.
Added (2). I plan to have a kid next year.
