Are there penalties against my lender if they refuse to send monthly mortgage statements?

We are in a botched FHA 203k loan. The lender did not do their job, and FHA would not insure the loan because I the contractor am related to my mother the borrower. We never hid this information, the lender did.

All well and good but I find out from my mother that she does not get monthly statements for the mortgage. The lender told her it's because its not a traditional loan but I know this is BS. We have asked the lender to provide all current and past statements as required by law. They do not answer the request.

Is there a penalty if they are breaking the law?
