I was thinking, it is a pretty risky game the young royals are playing. They're trying to play the media, to give off this impression that they're just like us, that they're human, and flawed just like the rest of us. I don't disagree with them. They are identical to us.
But do you think that the more the Royals show us that they're just normal people the more we'll start to ask why they have so much and we have so little? Why do we pay for them to have such comfortable and privileged lives while we suffer and struggle every day? What makes them special and exempt from paying taxes, getting proper jobs, actually having to get up every day to keep a rood over your families head, having to worry about dental care, mortgages, rent, holidays, pensions, road tax etc. They'll never have to worry about any of these things that we do. Why should we pay for them? Now they're telling us that they're just like us.
Could this be the downfall of the monarchy?
