New help regarding a mortgage?

Hi. Right this will be an annoying one for you all
I live in the uk mind.
I'm currently on maternity leave at the moment meant to be retuning back to work in July but wanting a new job as they are being awkward with hours.

We're in the process of selling out flat to get a mortgage on a house (the seller isn't moving out until sept, we're renting until then)

If I get a new job will it screw our chances of getting a mortgage?
