Hi,
My friends son is 5 and currently in intensive care receiving chemo treatment after being diagnosed with liver cancer. Was wondering whether she would be entitled to any sort of carers allowance? She obviously is spending every day and night with him. She's not been able to go to work and is only hired as bank staff (0 hr contract) so has no income coming in, her husband is self employed but isn't on high income. The bank has rolled her mortgage for 30days but he is going to be very poorly for a while as he will need surgerys and possible transplant yet. Is there any financial support for her in this situation?
