Hello!
Our landlord had heard from our neighbor that we were approved from a mortgage and we plan on looking for a home after our wedding in two months. When this was brought up in conversation he only asked that we give him a 30 day notice when the time comes. We agreed and reassured him that it could be any where from 3 months to a year from now (were not rushing.) All of a sudden our landlord is now trying to show our apartment to potential tenants already. Like TODAY. I know he has the right to show our apartment but it makes us feel extremely uncomfortable considering we haven't even given a 30 day notice yet or ANY kind of notice for that matter. Is this legal in NY or can I legally say no?
Were long term tenants and we do not have a lease.
Thank you.
