I currently own a FHA home in Missouri and I moved 2 years ago to South Carolina because of a job. I have been renting a house in SC (and renting out the home in MO) and have now decided to purchase a home here SC. Can I still quality for the 2nd FHA loan even though it's been two years since I relocated? Is there a time restriction on how soon you have to purchase? I ask because I am scheduled to close on a home in SC next month and the lender just told me today that the underwriter denied my PPW for the FHA loan because I already moved and didn't purchase within 90 days of relocating to SC. I have searched high and low and I can't find anything starting that this is a requirement for relocation for a 2nd FHA. Please help.
