My sister is renting a house and the landlord was the previous owner, supposedly he had lost the house and moved out. A few weeks later he then offered my sister (she's 18 by the way) to move in for 500$ a month then switched it to 800$ he pays utilities himself, he claimed the house still belonged to him and that he was still paying the mortgage. Then he started asking my sister for 200$ a week instead of monthly because "bills" were due. Now not only is he asking for full rent but also utilities. They have no written contract everything was verbal and he said if she doesn't pay the full months rent that she had to move out! I personally think he really lost the house and is just making money off my sister! Help where can I get more info? Regarding verbal agreements, and real home owner info
