my mum who is self-employed earns around £500 or more a week (if she didnt have to pay her workers, it could well be over £1000 before paying the bills)
now she spends the £500 on groceries, bills, tax and paying off the debt she got for the shop she bought. That would still leave us enough for something we WANT to buy since the rent isnt that expensive where we live.
i told her i want to move away from this ''rough'' area because my friends at school make fun of me for living in it and that it's time to buy a house already…
she said buying a house is complicated and she needs to tax more to get a good mortgage? Not sure what that means.
she said she's going to report to the government/jobcentre that she's going to work longer hours as this will get her more mortgage since she'll earn more money.
the thing is, on the halifax bank mort calculator, i've typed in the wage she earns and it says she can borrow up to £147000
and in Wales, im even more than satisfied with looking at nice house at the price of £130 000
is it that complicated like my mum say it is?
