Let me start by saying I liked this bank and have been banking with them for almost 6 years. They have truly disappointed me.
So, I have a checking account. My mother is a joint owner for family reasons; i.e., death, etc.
My brother also has a checking account with my mother as a joint owner.
My brother and I's accounts are NOT LINKED. I have overdraft protection from my savings and he through his.
His account overdrafted and they took the difference out of MY ACCOUNT. Without authorization or even a heads up! Obviously, as this was a charge I wasn't exactly anticipating, I overdrafted! They took out $66.66 to cover his overdraft then charged me $35 because I went below zero! I wouldn't have overdrafted in the first place; as I'm very good with my money! This is entirely BOA's fault and they refuse to reimburse me.
Wtf do I do? I'm so angry right now and I am not going to just let it be.
Added (1). DON W-- I was very polite over the phone and he basically told me there's nothing they can do.
