My husband and I are applying for a mortgage and we have to have at least three accounts to show proof of payment. Is our lender allowed to check these accounts to verify they are accurate? Like, for our electric account, can they call the electric company to verify the information is correct?
its not that i have a problem with it, i just don't feel comfortable with someone looking in to all of our accounts.
