A Millionaire with a simple occupation?

I've recently got to know a work mate that has confessed that he's been hiding his 'secret life' because he fears that it would change peoples perception of him at his work place.

He's 28 years old, born into significant wealth, private educated, owns 5 properties (receiving rental income from all of them) and the only thing that has ever excited and driven him in life is being part of an ambulance crew. He's an ambulance technician. - his family never approved of his occupation.

He told me that every morning when he wakes up in the morning and drives to work, the minute he parks his car he enters a different reality. He states that its almost like living a double life, nobody knows about his wealth, where he lives and his social circle.
He said that that the most challenging part is that what he does on a daily basis is not natural, its not natural to live a secret life

He wishes to be open with his work mates but fears that his financial background will change his relationship at work with others. He states that its tough to just be open about a life of luxury and wealth when most people have a mortgage, rent to pay and budgets. He doesnt want to offend anybody.

Should he be open about himself at work & let people accept him for who he is or not take the risk and keep things as they are? Thats my question for you guys, he seems to be really be stuck and confused at times. Im the only person hes ever told.
