I am getting ready to buy my first home and trying to educate myself on all the tax benefits of owning your home.
I read that you were able to write off private mortgage insurance on your taxes, but after January 1, 2014 the government will probably discontinue this.
So my question is, when will the government decide to extend or discontinue this PMI write off benefit, and also are there any other tax benefits for first time homebuyers?
