We're trying to find other ways to reduce our taxable income since our 401Ks are maxed out. We're in CA and were looking to pay in advance on our property tax. If you've done this or are in the tax field, I'd love to hear from you. Please don't waste my time if you don't know or are going to response with a dumb comment like "ask your financial adviser" (something most people don't have). The property tax seemed like a better idea than making January's mortgage payment in Dec (that would only apply the interest portion but the property would be the full amount on your itemized deductions)
