Squatters law, how can I take over the home. Since its being forclosed?

My ex boyfriend moved out of his house because his home is being forclosed. I m currently pregnant and have my 10 month old son here with me still living in this house because we have no where to go. The sheriffs sales date of the house is July 7th. He basically abandoned us and moved in with his sister and left me to rot. I would like to try and keep this home for myself and my children since we have nowhere to go. And maybe try to take over the mortgage. I have been looking into squatters law and wanted to know how I can appropriately go about this. And advice is a blessing thank you.
