If you did not vote, can you still be credit checked for a mortgage?

Hi, I am a UK resident. I couldn't vote because I was not in the country at the time, I am registered to vote however.
I was wondering- because I never voted, how will the bank credit check me? I want to take out a mortgage next year but I am worried that I will not be allowed because I did not vote.
