TX ex husband bought house on my name without my knowledge now I owe back taxes?

This is in TX, my ex husband (divorced 2001) was granted the house (my choice) which we were buying from an individual no mortgage but rent to own kind of thing, 7 years after our divorce (2008) when he paid it off he decided to put both of us name on title and deed without my knowledge, now I found out he haven t pay the property taxes for the past 4 years n I got served today I owe $3000 for back taxes on the property. Am I liable? Should I pay? N if I do, can I claim half ownership on the property?
