Why do I see monthly mortgage fees besides homes am looking to buy on the internet?

OK guys I understand what mortgage is now but am still confuse about one thing, I was looking on some homes to buy and beside the price of the house I see like "mortgage 1,000 monthly" so is it saying that I can pay down on the house $1000 every month?
