Advice from a Mortgage Adviser of Financial Adviser etc?

I am a home owner with a mortgage from Northern Rock (now NRAM). Following evidence of a leaky roof, I have today been advised that the whole roof needs to be replaced. I have very little in the way of savings so have few options apart from re-mortgaging to raise the money. The value of the house is approx £140k and currently I owe £72k.

I am self-employed but do not earn much from it as I have MS and can't work full time. I am in receipt of Working Tax Credits and Disability Living Allowance and need to know, which lenders to approach that would consider lending to me.

Apologies for the length of this but am obviously very worried. I have tried to investigate a little and Nationwide look promising…
