Can i get a mortgage with someone else, but have the property in my name?

i want to get a mortgage, but the lenders will only lend me a small amount. I believe i would have no problems paying for it so i plan to get one of my family members who dont plan to buy a house to be added onto the mortgage.

so my question is can the property be under my name? Or does the property follow the mortgage?
