Do you have Tips/ suggestions on how you afford multiple children on a average income?

Those whose household gross income is around 50 to 90k or so. My husband and I want 3 or so children but worry about how to afford it. Do you still take vacations? Do you save for retirement and/or college? Etc. What kind of life? We take home a decent pay but after bills ( mortgage, utilities,etc) retirement savings, insurances, food, gas, etc theres just not a ton left. (We are also in major city so i realize 90k in Wyoming will be lavish but not much here in Chicago. )
