How often is the child benefit award notice sent out? Annually?


Hello,

Going through the drama of getting new mortgage deal.husband is self-employed so the bank want evidence of every single scrap of income including child benefit.

I have found my child benefit award notice but it is dated 2012 when my second child was born. I have no recollection of every getting another letter from them ( I am usually good at filing stuff away, even have file labeled child benefit and that was all that was in it!) so assume they only send them out when they update details on them?

I know I can prove it by using bank statements but they are insisting on 3 months of statements which is a pain, we are paperless so it means taking time off to go to the bank to get copies. Been told they won't accept print outs from online banking *sigh*

Anyway, if this letter from 2012 is the correct document, then I am happy as that should be sufficient evidence. Would appreciate input if anyone has any experience of this or other information. Thanks!
