What Should i Do? I dont have enough money for a new place but i cant stay here?

So i dont have enough to rent an apartment right now. I have 2 options borrow from my 401k or get a personal loan from a bank. (BOTH I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT) I dont even know what a mortgage is… Should i take out a loan for an apartment?
