I'm 18 and live with my mum who's 51, she is a single parent. We currently live in a 2 bedroom house which is paid for by my dad but since they are split up it's always under he's control and always threatens not to pay the mortgage, so she wants her own place. When the house sells she will only get like 100k from it. She is a first time buyer but all what she can afford is like £160k and most houses like that are an absolute mess. It's just sad because it'll probably be a house she will live in for rest of her life but probably won't enjoy it. Is there any help or advice we can get place. We're in the UK btw.
