I'm 23, and I have great credit. I have a great job and no kids. My goal was to save my money and have my dream house by 30. Well, renting in New Orleans a 600sf for 1600 a month taking most of my income. I came across a house that was 1800sq 3bd2b. Everything is fine only need a little paint and new flooring, and the monthly mortgage would be 340 and I added the homeowners insurance and flood insurance I still come out cheaper. My plan is to eventually rent this house out and it ll pretty much pay for my dream home. What else am I missing when it come to homes and other fees? Would it be a good investment?
