Why do relatively high income people vote Labour?

I can understand why people on low incomes would vote Labour. Voting Labour would improve their quality of life. And I can even understand why very rich people might vote Labour. Voting Labour might not improve their quality of life but they have so much money that an extra 5p tax wouldn't actually make a huge difference and they can help out people.

But why would somebody on an income of around £80,000 to £100,000 vote labour. Yes, they're certainly not poor but when you take into account mortgages, perhaps school fees, other expenses. An increase in tax would reduce their quality of life.
