Can I put the PSEG bill in my name?

So 2 days ago PSEG shut off our electricity. It was in my grandmother's name. Her bill is over $30k. They cut the gas off 4 years ago and today was the limit I guess for the electric.

They do plan on filing bankruptcy and we will move into an apartment and put the electric in my name but honestly they are old and sick and putting it in my name so they can stay in this house comfortably instead of moving would be much easier.

Would I be able to put the electric in my name? My grandmother said she isn't sure I can because the bill is so high at this address and PSEG isn't stupid.

Please answer and help, this is so stressful. My grandfather spent some of mortgage money getting the house appraised only to find out he won't be getting the loan.

Grandmother is too sick to work, grandfather is only getting older and is starting to work less…

I don't even know how the bill got that high, just crazy.
