My wife and I are divorcing. I left our home which was mortgaged, without any belongings or money. Just what I was wearing. She actually kicked me out as she was seeing someone else.
Whilst we were together her father was killed in an accident. They began court proceedings while we together, but since we split (18 month ago) she has been awarded £66,000 from her fathers estate.
My question is, am I entitled to any of this in the financial settlement? She has offered me £2,000. Which is half of the equity on the property.
