I have read that if you have a thirty year mortgage, that the time will be reduced to 23 years if you send an extra hundred dollars with the first payment. I am planning to get a fifteen year mortgage and send extra money with the first payment. How many years or (maybe months) will the fifteen years be shortened if I send an extra $!00?
