I worked in the mortgage/banking industry for close to 6 years. I returned to school last year and I'm looking to land a part-time job to earn some extra cash. Should I simplify my resume from all the technical terms I currently have on it? I have applied for data entry, call center, even retail jobs, and haven't gotten a return phone call. Is this a smart approach? I have included information on the cover letter as well and mentioning my customer service, MS Office, and related experience. And even the fact that I don't mind making minimum wage. Any advice would be appreciated.
