Mortgage Lender forgot to add closing costs?
Added (1). Now he wants to increase our rate quite drastically to cover it since we are closing in a week. Our GFE locked in our rate on our new home that is finally completed after 10 mos. Now that the rates have increased, they want to raise them and claim they just forgot about the closing costs. Can they do this? Legally?
Added (2). FYI, when we first found this lender, he sold us on not having to pay closing costs, only the down payment.
