My (soon to be) husband doesn't want a wedding ceremony?

He thinks that it costs too much and we've better use of that money (eg: mortgage)

He also refused to buy me a ring (He thinks that diamonds are rocks bought by idiots)

But what am I going to say to my parents? What am I going to tell my friends and relatives?

It's as if I am not married - no ceremony, no ring!
