Should all humans be embracing the advancements of technology even though it is destroying the planet?

People love that we have touch screens, dispensers for movies and food, and a TV that can also be a computer among other things. The list is endless. But technology is becoming more of a burden actually, is it not? Consider these:
--a big negative is that humans are losing jobs more and more every year. We went from employing 200 hundred people to assemble things like cars and airplane parts in a factory to outsourcing and replacing humans with technology like robots. That is 200 people who can no longer pay a mortgage, college, or any bills. The numbers for this is millions.
--Another point in this are companies like Uber and Apple. They are investing in self-driving cars and technology that repairs itself. Robots that do surgeries, calculations for businesses, etc. Everything! When the rich have all the money cause their companies made these things, will the rest of us starve in chaos
--Technology also pollutes. We use to live off nature. Now, we have huge oil wells and cars that yes create jobs, but are destroying the environment. We are overpopulated because of technology. If we went back to the old days, everyone had a job and was surviving well.
--Technology like internet are destroying businesses and hurting people. Cyber bullying, bank accounts hacked, identity theft.

WE ARE NOT LIVING BETTER. Life is going to get worse. Our ancestors and their old ways did make the world a better place. How are we gonna survive? The rich are getting rid of us
