The best place to live and raise a family?

We are doing a bit of research regarding life in other countries and what other people would say about it.
My husband is a 43 year old Mortgage broker, I am a 31 year old recruitment consultant and we have two boys, aged 4 and 7. We currently live in a lovely part of London, surrounded by greenery, parks, good schools etc. However, the pace of life is getting to me. My husband is out of the house from 8 till 8 to enable us to live where we do. It's lovely, but it's a smallish 3 bedroom flat. I work part time and manage a rental property. I rush around most days with no possibility of help with childcare as it's too expensive. I feel we work ourselves silly and then have no free time. Is there somewhere in the world where you could have a more relaxed life with less money, less stressful working conditions and a bigger house? We were considering Canada. What are your experiences?
