So my wife an I were pre approved for a mortgage loan. We made an offer on a house and we will be finding out if they accepted our offer on Saturday. I'm a little worried because at the beginning of the year I had some health issues and I had to go to the er in an ambulance. Those accounts just went to collections one on 6/26 for $900 the other for $2300 on 7/11. They re still not showing on my report so I want to pay them off. I'm just wondering if that will solve the problem? I also wanted to ask the collectors if I could settle for less? Is this possible? Do medical collections prevent you getting a home loan?
