Added (1). How do I get out of a joint mortgage?
I currently co-own our family house with my stepfather. I had to be added to the mortgage because he wouldn't be approved on his own. I'm living in the house with my entire family. I now want to leave and move out on my own. Before I go, I want to be removed as a co-owner from the mortgage.
Added (2). Will this affect my credit in a bad way?
