Tax refund on Interest paid on mortgage?
Added (1). I own a home, I just completed a year, I am a full time college student and I pay off the mortgage using the money from the people I rent to. I usually do my own taxes, some people say I should get some refund money from the interest that I paid on the mortgage loan, but when I put the information, I am not getting anything back, why?
Added (2). used turbotax, h&r, taxslayer online, on my own, they all come out the same I did not declare the rental income about $9,700 in interest
