Looking at moving to the coast?

My husband and I are thinking of moving to the coast for a fresh start for the younger 2 as in a couple of years the eldest is off to university… We first thought Somerset but for a 4 bedroom house your looking alot more then we think we can get a mortgage for, we looking at recommend seaside as alot of the coastal areas we ain't been.
Could people recommend any areas please!
