Is it safe to voluntarily remove my name off the deed?
Added (1). I am the husband and I am unhappy.
Government assistance won't look at me if my name is on a mortgage.
I would have to spend $1200 to have a lawyer remove my name.

Should this actrion hurt me before a separation agreement is drafted--so I could move out, get welfare?
